We met Damon and Raneshia back at Christmas while they were in town from New York visiting family. None of us were exactly sure how they happened upon our website, but we are glad that they did! We have been waiting for them to return to Atlanta so that we could shoot their engagement photos, and once again we beat out that unpredictable Atlanta weather for an awesome engagement session with a lot of laughs and great fun!
We met up at Java Vino, one of our favorite Highlands locations, and chatted about their wedding plans. They had just been to Bold American for their tasting, getting the details lined up for their upcoming King Plow wedding. The wind was blowing strong as we began our journey down Highlands to some of our favorite locations, hoping that the predicted thunderstorms would hold off. We quickly found out what a blast it was to hang with these two, as the laughs, frolicking, and romance was non-stop!
After our jaunt down the Virginia-Highlands area, we headed over to Piedmont Park for the Dogwood Festival, hoping that it would not be too crowded. We found the perfect parking place, and headed over to the amusement park area to check out the ferris wheel and the carousel. The 1960′s vintage rides looked great and Damon and Raneshia entertained us with their awesome personalities as they rode the rides. It was getting dark and rain drops were beginning to fall, so we decided to grab some dinner and see what the weather would do. We had hoped to head to Little 5 Points, but traffic and parking were not cooperating, so we headed over to the Plaza Theatre, home of the midnight showing of Rocky Horror, for some more antics.
